Whine, whine, whine. Happy birthday and all but can't you make your own god damn cake? Make swiss roll (jelly roll in America I think) or something, it's easy, I've done it twice in the past week. Plan a late birthday party with your friends to celebrate, if you don't have enough money for a wild party then just go to the cinema or for a meal to Nandos or McDonald's. We can't do anything for you so get off your ass and do it yourself.

Maybe they forgot? Or maybe they thought it wasn't a big deal to you.
My dad hates celebrating his birthday, and just ignores it and inadvertently does the same to me and my sister, but not my brother. Why? Because he goes on and on and on about it while it's coming up. So if it's important to you, make sure they know. They might just think it was no big deal, some people are like that.
I mean, my dad told me happy birthday on my sister's birthday..... Mine's in March and her's is in June. So yeah.
Or they could have known and not care, and in that case, is a total douche and I'm sorry OP. Go splurge on fancy candy. (no, I'm serious. Candy makes everything a little better.)
